Petition

To begin the process of becoming a member of Rainbow is easy!! Simply, turn in a petition for the degrees. The petition is in essence a membership application to join Rainbow.

If you need help finding Rainbow in your area, please contact Supreme Assembly at 918-423-1328 or by . You may also refer to the "Grand Assemblies" area of this web site to see if a Rainbow Assembly is located near you.

Investigation or Information Sharing

Once the Petition is received it must first be reviewed by the Advisory Board, and then by the Assembly. When the Petition is accepted, a committee of three people will visit the prospective member and her parents at their home. The chief purpose of this visit is to provide the parents and the prospective member with more information about Rainbow and to answer any questions.

Balloting

Following the Investigation or Information Sharing, Balloting is the next step. Balloting is a traditional ceremony, largely a formality.

Initiation

A booklet called "The Journey of Initiation" is available from Supreme Assembly. It is a great help in providing some brief explanations of the principle lessons and teachings of Rainbow. This booklet may be shared with prospective members and their parents.

The Initiation Ceremony is a solemn presentation that impresses an obligation on young women to live a good life and do right. This ceremony is by far one of the most impressive presentations a girl can experience.
